A Dream, A Deadline, A Debut: The Journey Begins

Here we are ... my first blog post!

Okay Friends... It's December already. Can you believe it? I sure can't. I've spent the last 12 months writing, editing, creating this website, editing, learning new skills for self-publishing, more editing, attempting to build a social media presence to promote my book, and somehow still more editing. It's really never ending, isn't it?

So here I am, writing this post to just lay it all out there. I somehow don't think I'll ever get to the point of feeling like my book is "done". Might just do one more round of edits, you know, just to be safe. But for real, cover art is about to drop... eek!

And while I wish I could afford to get my cover art from a, you know, actual artist, instead it's just me for now. I spent countless hours pouring over other covers in my genre, making endless mockups and sending every one of those to my friends for feedback. (I'm pretty sure they're ready to block me if I ask, 'What about this?' one more time. But I love them for sticking it out. Such good sports!)

What's Coming:

Book 1: The Home We Make

1. Cover Art Reveal - December 23rd (Merry Christmas to me!)

2. Available for Preorder January 20th

3. Release Day March 24th (subject to change for an earlier date)

Book 2: The Rule We Keep

1. 20% drafted (first draft)

2. Tentative Release - September 2026

I'm so excited and nervous and so many, many other feelings. Here's to finally bringing my stories to light. If you take the time to read this. Thank you. I'll take any kind of support to keep me going on this crazy train.
